Christian Voice threatens to picket Welsh poet Patrick Jones’ book launch at Cardiff Waterstones. Waterstones calls off launch. Fury ensues. You cant buy publicity like this!

I like your reference to the song of Solomon. Christians like to say the bible is for families, but I can’t imagine reading that to kids, especially if it’s a translation that is less euphemistic than the KJV.

I don’t think I will be high on their list of invited guests somehow! One of the illustrations I’ve used in the book is of two men kissing, and I am openly critical of religious attitudes to gay people and non-believers. Maybe I should email Christian Voice to get more publicity?!

i find it absolutely unbelievable that when considering the mindset and actions of people such as stephen ‘birdshit’ green’ and the supporters of organisations such as christian voice, it would appear that the intelligence of the human race has actually fallen dramatically during the last few decades.
whatever happened to “love thy neighbour” or “do as you would have others do unto you”?
