Book Launch

Soooo…. Me & my bf broke up 3 months ago. A friend of mine & her bf have heard A LOT of stories about this slightly crazy break up. Well, I guess they were trying to hook me up with someone new….

So, two weeks ago I visited their place and after we went out to a bar and one of my friend’s bf’s friend dropped by. Turned out that me and this guy are going out at the same places, both like design and the 4 of us ended up hanging out. When I was on the way home I got a message from my friend "A is interested in seeing you again." Wrote back to her that she could give A my number. Then he added me on facebook and the day after he found me on the chat and told me that it was really nice to see me and that we should meet up as a group or that just me and him should hang out.

Me and this guy started to plan to go to a place the week after and then my friend invited both of us to a book launch party, without telling me but he told me that he was going and was looking forward to see me.

The book launch party came and there was so many signs – like literally that this guy is interested. My friend even asked me straight up if I was interested in this guy, as he apparently is interested in me. I said that "He seems nice."
When we went to dinner the same evening my friend’s bf even said: "Oh no, this is not a double-date, it’s jsut how it looks like! Haha!"
They guy even touched me arm when I left, holding it a little bit longer. He paid attention to everything I said, it was really nice.
I might had gone a little bit crazy when my friend, me and this guy were talking. The book launch we attended was for a book that involved male dateing, for guys that couldn’t find a date. I didn’t know that and thought it just was general dating and said something like: "This is a book for you! Are you going to read it to the guy?" My friend got really jokingly upset about this: "What on earth are you saying? Do you know what the book is about??"

Anyway, me and this guy spoke on the messenger the day after the party but after that I haven’t heard a word from him. Nothing. He’s not online on facebook, no updates on twitter… Weird. I really thought he would ask me ot on a date but apparently that’s not happening.

So what do you guys think? Wait it out? Forget about it? Ask my friend? Ask him if he wants to join for the beach>? I know he loves to go the beach and no one can go this weekend so I figured I might as well ask him or would that be weird?

I’m actually really interested in this guy. He seemes like a really guy. I’m 27 and he’s 34. Should probably add to this that he also broke up with his gf some months ago.

Unfortunately, no! Nothing will change for him! Even if its a good film, he’ll still remain the same and will most probably go un-noticed after a while, like always!

My nephew wants to go to the new Harry Potter book Launch as Draco Malfoy..two questions,what are Slytherins tie colour and does Draco have a pet like Harry’s Owl or Ron’s Rat??

the slytherins colors are silver and green Draco doesn’t have a pet if he did though it would have been mentioned in any of the books though

I saw another question asking if they were together or not. I don’t know for sure but they both turned up to a book launch that I was at. I met them both, pictures and everything. They seemed together most of the time, and I saw them both drive off in the same car and stuff. It was really cool. Did I mention that Gerard is really hot?!

Looking for best practices for a website to launch a book. Examples of ground-breaking website designs. What works? What doesn’t work? Flash or HTML? AJAX? Visitors should be compelled to click the buy button on the first page right away!

If you only want design you are probably going to need a good graphic designer and maybe some flash animator for a nice intro in the first page.

If you ask me noone can purchase a book unless they know something about it, like reading a chapter from it, so make sure you are including a sample chapter on the website.

One more thing that can increase your sales is driving more people to the website. Talk to some Search engine optimization specialist for making this happen.

Yesterday, I attended the book launch ceremony of "The Crisis of Islamic Civilization" by Ali A. Allawi (I strongly recommend it). It was a most thought provoking talk and it got me thinking.

Given the global financial crisis, it it this the end of Capitalism.

Sounds like an interesting book.
