Hannah goes and talks to Lexi for a second, out of thin air Megan pops up in front of me giving me that evil smile, she has ironically dressed like an angel, when she is anything but one. She tries to kiss me but I pull away seductively she says

“You cant resist me forever”

Angrily i reply
“Listen you crazy nut job, I gave you your chance to tell me whatever you needed to say last time, you cant get in my head this time now fuck off, leave me alone”

“I need to talk to you”

“I’m not interested in whatever you have to say”

From behind me Hannah, Jodie and Lexi appear, Megan laughs crazily

“Aww look at this isn’t this cute the girlfriend, the ex girlfriend and who might you be”

Lexi replies

“I am the one that’s going to knock you on your ass if you don’t leave”

Again with that evil smile she says

“Ooh this ones got a mouth on her, I can see why you like her, you getting girls to do your fighting now matt; nice”

Hannah hasn’t said a word but her eyes are filling with that crazy rage she has, she has that scary look in her face.

Jodie says
“Look we told you last time to fuck off, so why don’t you do us all a favour and leave”

I add
“You heard, go”

Megan looks at me shaking her head

“I’m not going nowhere until I have talked to you baby”

Lexi again jumps in

“Listen you crazy bitch, either you leave or we are going to have a real problem”

“Control your dog matt before she gets bit, this has nothing to do with her”

“This has everything to do with me, they are my friends and you’re a problem to them so you’re a problem to me”

“Bark, bark, bark, is that all you got little dog”

As soon as she finishes saying that Hannah launches for Megan, they start fighting, Hannah starts pummelling Megan but Megan just laughs hysterically, pull Hannah off her telling her she’s not worth it, Megan has a cut on her cheek, slowly she gets up wiping the blood with her fingers she smiles wile licking her finger,

“Who knew you had so much fight in you Hannah, if I knew this last year I would have stuck around a little longer, we could have had some real fun”

Lexi cant take no more, she swings for Megan, her left hook connecting with Megan’s nose, all I here is a crack, Megan drops to the floor covering her nose, this time she is not laughing. The whole party has stopped they are all watching us. The rest of the group and soccer team are no standing behind me, Lexi stands over Megan she kicks her a couple of times, Shaun has to pull her away, nobody even offers to help Megan up the blood pours out her nose, there’s a pool of blood on the fake snow on the floor. Getting up she points and looks at Lexi angrily saying

“Your going to pay for that, you just made the biggest mistake of your life”

she turns to look at me and softly says

“and we will finish this another time – have a good Christmas baby”

Pushing through the crowd of people she disappears, Hannah gives me a hug, Lexi is still charged, she wants to go out and finish her off, but Shaun is still holding her back. Terry just stood in the background doing nothing, even now he wont step up to comfort her.

The music comes back on, everybody slowly goes back to what they were doing, Jodie and I look at each other, we know its only a matter of time before she returns, Hannah tells me it doesn’t matter let her come back then she will get more of the same. Lexi finally starts to calm down, she looks over at Terry, he just hangs his head, she shakes her head towards him

I like it but it could use more detail of the surrounds and more of matts thoughts on whats going on . Also i could visualize the story better if you were to put more of the story in " " as they say things

I’m sure you already know, but Barack Obama just clinched the presidential Nomination for the democratic party. That is monumentous. I’m not saying that just because he is black, (Honestly I feel like we are all born on this planet as colorless souls placed in the body we possess), but because of the implications of where america is in excepting a non-white candidate as a potential candidate. Don’t get me wrong, i am proud that for all the people saying that the civil rights movement is forgotten, and all that jazz, I feel he is a living testament that, though us young folks can seem like we have no sense at times, we do pay attention to what’s going on. We have not forgotten. It’s in our roots. And I’ll say that psychologically, just the thought that Obama could be our next president allows the bar to be higher on the dreams of the minority youth. Being entertainers and athletes is cool, but to have realistic aspirations of obtaining presidency as well, truly removes the glass ceiling. i have like Obama for about a year now, and while I am partial because he is African American, I also honestly think he is good enough for the position. People around the world celebrated when he got the vote. THE WORLD, you hear me. for a presidential election. That’s big. Keep doing your thing Barack. On the fourth day of Barack Obama’s presidency, he approved missiles
strikes in Pakistan.

Déjà vu all over again, as Yogi Berra would say, begging the question
why more strikes if America voted for change? But this was the news
in the UK’s Guardian, President orders air strikes on villages in
tribal area. "Barak Obama gave the go-ahead for his first military
action yesterday, missile strikes against suspected militants in
Pakistan which killed at least 18 people.

"Four days after assuming the presidency, he was consulted by US
commanders before they launched the two attacks. Although Obama has
abandoned many of the ‘war on terror’ policies of George Bush while
he was president, he is not retreating from the hunt for Osama bin
Laden and other al-Qaida leaders."

I guess he had to get his feet wet with blood to show the right he
was no wuss on terror, something for everybody. But to say this act
is impulsive and poorly thought out is an understatement given that
he was consulted by US commanders. That’s it? What about the
Congress, the people who voted for him? What about the longstanding
suspicion Osama is dead of the deadly kidney disease he was treated
for as early as August 2000 in a hospital in Dubai, where he was
reputed to have met with his CIA handler, by then CIA station-chief
Robert Baer, according to Baer’s his book, Sleeping With the Devil.

What about the highly thought of notion that Bin Laden was a patsy as
were the Saudi hijackers and that that the strike on 9/11 was a false-
flag operation to turn the West against the Muslim world in its New
World Order hegemonic moronic quest for power? What’s more, if Bin
Laden was so important, why was he taken off the FBI’s most wanted
list awhile ago and George Bush said Osama was of no longer of
interest to him.

And now the Guardian reports, "The US believes they [Al-Qaeda] are
hiding in the tribal areas along the border with Afghanistan, and
made 30 strikes last year in which more than 200 people were killed.
In the election, Obama hinted at increased operations in Pakistan,
saying he thought Bush had made a mistake in switching to Iraq before
completing the job against al-Qaida in Afghanistan and Pakistan." Ah,
and attacking Pakistan villages and killing villagers pell-mell will
make it all right. Not.

And where is Obama’s backroom political advisor, Zbigniew Bzrezinsky,
to remind everyone that he and the CIA set up Al-Qaeda (actually a
file-name on Bin Laden’s laptop, meaning "the base"). Zbig and the
Company financed, recruited, trained and armed Al Qaida to fight a
jihad against the atheist Russians who had invaded Afghanistan in
1979, unsettling the US, which already considered the Middle East
terrain a sphere of oil interest.

And, as expected, "The US marine corp commander said yesterday that
his 22,000 troops should be redeployed from Iraq to Afghanistan. Gen
James Conway said ‘the time is right’ to leave Iraq now the war had
become largely nation-building rather than the pitched fighting in
which the corps excelled; he wanted the marines in Afghanistan,
especially in the south where insurgents, and the Taliban and al-
Qaida, benefit from both a nearby safe haven in Pakistan and a
booming trade in narcotics."

Well, Conway got the first half right that his 22,000 troops should
be redeployed from Iraq. But not to a no-win conflict with Pakistan
and Afghanistan, which conflict will serve to unify Muslim and Middle
Eastern bad feelings and resources towards the US. The troops should
be redeployed home, to America, to relieve them of the incredible
burden they have been carrying and the numerous over-deployments and
the massive incidence of brain injuries not to mention 4,000 plus
deaths. What rabbit-hole did Obama stumble down, and so fast?

Only two days earlier George McGovern, former South Dakota Senator
and Democratic nominee for president in 1972, wrote in an editorial
in the Washington Post, and directed at President Obama, Calling a
Time Out, "As you settle into the Oval Office, Mr. President, may I
offer a suggestion? Please do not try to put Afghanistan aright with
the U.S. military. To send our troops out of Iraq and into
Afghanistan would be a near-perfect example of going from the frying
pan into the fire. There is reason to believe some of our top
military commanders privately share this view. And so does a broad
and growing swath of your party and your supporters.

"True, the United States is the world’s greatest power — but so was
the British Empire a century ago when it tried to pacify the warlords
and tribes of Afghanistan, only to be forced out after excruciating
losses. For that matter, the Soviet Union was also a superpower when
it poured some 100,000 troops into Afghanistan

I don’t have a name yet so maybe you could help me with this to
I know it’s going to be called __insert_name_here__: The Cure
Summary:
My story is about a normal 17 yr old girl who one night comes across a strange figure and doesn’t find out till later that he is actually a vampire. He bites her, but before he can kill her, a group of oversized dogs come to her rescue (She later learns that these creatures are actually werewolves that protect the city from unwelcome visitors). But its to late, she has already been turned into a vamp. After she realizes what has happened to her she tries to continue her normal teenage life. But it isn’t that easy because she knows her life can never be the same again. People notice the difference in her appearance and the way she acts toward her friends and family. After launching herself into a depression, and some deep thought, the girl feels the only solution is to go away and live in a house with her own kind. When she gets there, everyone treats her like family and she ends up making friends with almost everyone in the house (with a few exceptions). And while all this is going on, she accidentally looses control of her newfound temper and bites a human boy who happened to be to close. Now he is a vampire and definitely not happy about it. The boy runs away for lack of a better reason than he’s really freaked out and scared of what he’s become. The girl feels extremely bad about everything she’s done and feels she needs to fix it in anyway she can. She talks to the head of the house and finds out there’s a cure for vampirism, but it’s rare and may take a long time to find. Regardless, She sets out to find the cure and has to think, if she is able to find the cure, will she use it herself, and go back to the way things were when she was human and "normal" OR will she stay a vampire and continue to live her life with the new friends she has made and some new powers/abilities *hint hint* she has discovered.
Ok that’s about it. It’s longer than I hoped but it’s going to kind of a long book

other than some of the main charcters being vampires and werewolves i dont see how its anything like twilight (ive read the series)

they understand eachother….theyre just people who have been given something they didnt ask for

I think that it sounds good. I think that one of the most important things will have to character development (and make sure that the main characters have some sort of flaw that creates conflict to move your story along) and also for the story to be well written (try to limit your use of a thesaurus). I think that if you follow what I said then your book will be better as this is the stuff that I find that many people here on yahoo! answers have found to be wrong with the book twilight. And you want to separate yourself from that and do your own thing. It sounds good, just be sure to do research foremost to really familiarize yourself with how vampires are usually portrayed and the features that you want the vampires in your book to have. Like will they burn in the sun? or is their reflection in mirrors invisible? You can come up with creative ways on how your main character deals with these problems. Good luck!

I am in the market to buy a new computer. And am going Mac.
It’s down to these two: the newly launched Macbook pro (http://www.apple.com/macbookpro/specs-13inch.html) and a refurbished aluminum mac book (http://store.apple.com/us/product/FB466LL/A?mco=MjE0NDk5Mw#overview).

I’m not a computer experts but it seems these computers are basically the same except of course the price. The only main techincal difference seems to be the amount of Ghz in the processor? Is there anything that you see that is really different. I plan to use the computer for college papers, surfing the web, music (i’m going to transfer about 3, 500 average size songs), watching movies (about 7 feature length is going on the harddrive). That’s about all. I am planning on putting final cut sometime in the future, but when I do I just plan on upgrading the harddrive.

So does the cheaper refurbished on sound like an adequate subsitution for the newer mac book pro? Thank you.

Here is the first part of my book! Honestly give criticizm!

My entire body throbbed from pain as I darted down the deserted avenue. All I could think was that I had to get away from them. The “cops” they’re after me, and it’s not because I’m a criminal. I know they’re not real cops just posers, and I don’t really care. I just need to get away, and fast. You might want to know why they’re after me. And I’d happily tell you if I knew myself, and I wasn’t perhaps running for my life once again. You know you’re not running fast enough, when they start shooting at you and a bullet almost hits your leg. Two guys, big guns, and a lot of guts to fire at me, ‘cause I can tell you one thing: When I get it together they are as good as dead. I guess I’m not that lucky, because one of their bullets nicked my leg, taking a chunk of skin and dirt ridden jeans with it. Desperation can cause you to do some pretty crazy things like launch yourself off the roof of a building. And I was very desperate.
Falling is a peculiar feeling, almost like you are not actually conscious when it’s happening. It feels almost like a dream- until you hit the ground. Trust me I’ve “fallen” enough times to prove for sure that the fall never hurt anyone, it was the impact. Luckily all this experience has taught me how to land. The ground came up fast sending a shock through my entire body, not the greatest feeling. Anyways, my pursuers couldn’t figure out where I went.
I figure now would be a great time to introduce myself, because, hey: I’m not running from psycho-maniacs, and the government isn’t trying to get me back. The name’s Kar, and if I’d have to guess, I’m about thirteen. You probably want to know why these people are after me. Yeah, so do I, cue me in when you figure it out. But I do know why the government is after me. I never knew my parents, and I don’t freaking want to. As early as I can remember I’ve been on the run from someone. There’s always been some lunatic out to get me, and what the heck have I ever done wrong? The official answer: nothing (that I’ve know about). Don’t feel bad for me- I’m not some helpless priss. I must be lucky because no one has got me, yet, and gosh, I hope the next guy is stupider than the first one because it was a close call.
Watching your back for every moment of every day is not the ideal lifestyle. You wake up in the morning hoping there isn’t somebody there with a gun to your head. You can try as hard as you want to hide but they always find you, it’s only a matter of timer. So while you’re at home in your little comfy bed, I’m being chased by psycho-maniacs. It’s made me tough though, not afraid of anything. You might think that’s impossible, but people who say that haven’t been on the run for some seven years. And I’m definitely not afraid of the law, so what, throw me in prison; at least they have three meals a day.
Let’s just say that life has not been easy. It got a heck of a lot worse when the next bunch came along, with big guns. Sounds like a great mix, idiots with lethal weapons, right? I dashed off into the surrounding forest only to hear the crunching of branches and leaves paces behind me. And that’s when I tripped on one stupid stubborn tree root. The men came up behind me restraining my strong arms behind my back pressed against my grimy t-shirt. He had to be the ugliest man I had ever seen. He had a five inch long scar running diagonally down his face, patches of his short hair were missing, and there were burn marks scattered randomly across his body. The one thing that stood out among all the other weird things on this particular moron (I hoped) were his bulging muscles, not that all these observations lasted long, because just then he clutched my neck and pinned me against the nearest tree. It freaking hurt, and I gasped for air. “We have specific orders from the boss not to kill you, but he wouldn’t know if you had an…. Unfortunate accident.” The scarred man began. “Yeah you tell her man, an accident!” his posse jeered, until Ole Scarry threatened “All of you could have ‘accidents’” He scraped my back against the tree bark, which cut through my flimsy shirt, I could feel the blood running down my back but I was not going to give the… creature the satisfaction of hearing me scream. Therefore I bore the pain and bit my lip, for I was on the verge of shouting out insults and curse words, but I was smarter than that. Yet, as soon as I could regroup these guys had it coming and the best part is they’d never know what hit them! They thought of me as nothing more than a weakling who ‘the boss’ sent them out to terrorize. It wasn’t working that well. “As I was saying,” he continued, “When I let go of your neck, you will run back to wherever scum like you live, and not breathe a word of our appearance.” I nodded apprehensively, as if I were petrified, for I was beginning to run out of air. “Consider this a warning from the boss. Don’t step out of line, we have con

Is this a good book(chapter 2-4).

The Sand Sea

He wondered for days what it meant. He did research on the Sword Desert where he lived, the only ancient thing he could find was the words, Swordhaven, Deathbite, and the Deathanater. Then, he called a girl who was the only one left who can speak and write in swordinesiest. Kilado set up an appointment for her to see him. A couple days later, someone knocked on his door, it was a young and skinny looking girl. Her name was Jynx. She said that someone set up an appointment. Kilado ran to the door. He brought the note. He asked her to read it to him, she said yes. She looked at it and started reading it. “Long ago, the ancients of sword haven fought a mysterious enemy called the deathbite and his agents of destruction, the deathanater. The warriors could only defeat the deathbite was when they launched deathbite with its greatest weakness, LIGHT! Then, gods of Swordhaven feared that this enemy would come back. They hid an all-powerful blade that could destroy the deathbite. This “Meda-Blade" was hidden so only the chosen one may find it. The gods sent their strongest 4 warriors out to guard it. It is said that this cryptic riddle un-locks it’s location," It is hidden beneath the leaves of fire”. The Deathbite is back!” Kilado thought that he was the chosen one. So, Jynx offered to help Kilado on this great journey. 2 days later, they were packed and ready to go. Jynx had a map so they were completely ready. The map said to go to the sand sea, which was 200 miles away. They walked and walked for so long until this sandy ninja jumped out of the desert sand and tried to attack! Kilado punched like he punched the rock! This ninja flew until he was out of sight. They walked some more until they reached a sign that said “SAND SEA ”. They reached a cave that lead to the sand sea. Along the way the paths split. They choose left. They walked some more. Al of a sudden, the path broke! A big hole appeared! Kilado almost fell down! They went back and went to right. Some light came the path; they made it to the sand sea! They walked along the huts and pyramids till they saw the inn. They rested there for a day and moved on to find the next location, Lumbria.

Chapter 3

The Ninjas

They looked at the map, it said to go to Lumbria, which was 50 miles away. They started walking out of the inn, when Jynx bumped a man next to a quad. The man was all right. “I’m so sorry sir.” Jynx said. “No problemo.” The man said. “Where you guys headin’ to with all that stuff?” he asked. “Lumbria, why?” We said. “Well, if you want, I could drive you there with my quad” an offered. “You would? Thank you!” We said.

“The names Jak” he said he got on his quad, put his helmet on, and said “hop on”.

Finally, we drove in this forest with billions and millions of trees, wood huts on top of the trees, and bugs, lots of them. All of a sudden, 3 green ninjas appeared. They kind of looked like the one in the desert, but green. They shot out leaves, toxic leaves. Jynx stuffed her hand into her pocket. She had a curvy dagger. She threw it at the ninja in the middle, it hit him, and it flew back like a boomerang. 2 ninjas left to go! Jack ran up to one of the ninjas, and punched him right in the face! One left to go! Kilado punched the ground and a huge earthquake began! A tree fell on the last of the ninjas. The three ran to the nearest tree. They sat down and looked at the map. The next area is Frundrake, which was 190 miles away. “Ouch! It feels like something’s biting me!” said Jynx “Ouch! Me too!” said Jak They ran away as fast as they could away from the ants. They ran to a hut, fortunately, it was an inn. They went inside the in, there was a man, a man in a cloak. “I’ve gotten you now!” the man exclaimed He took Jynx away! Rescuing Jynx

Jak and Kilado ran after the mysterious man. They jumped on the quad while chasing this mysterious man. They chased and chased the man. “Let her go!” yelled Kilado “NEVER!” yelled the man “Well, I’ll let her go, to death!” The man turned and went toward a cliff. He stopped right in front of the cliff. He held Jynx down to the cliff. “Bye, little girl”. Kilado and Jak ran as fast as they could to save Jynx. Right before Jak and Kilado made it, hweeeooof. Jynx was flying down the cliff. The man was laughing and laughing. Kilado dived down to save Jynx. Jak and the man started fighting. Right before Jynx and Kilado hit the ground….. A rock climber grabbed on to them! The rock climber smiled “You two going sky diving?” he laughed back at the top of the cliff, Jak pushed the man on the ground, Jak asked, “Who are you and what do you want?” “I’m no one, and I want nothing.” He said “What do you mean “No one”?” The man took of his cloak; his body was an entire pool of darkness! “Well, I only want one
