regarding the alarming state of unemployment among the Youth . It is going to be a cold hard facts that you might not like to hear , over 16 millions of Americans were jobless now , with the statistics gathered . The way to self-employed and riches , is not about having money , but developing the ability or knowledge that can produce unending riches , that is why the world’s richest folks out there did not stated with money , but with what they have and vision , driven by the ability , information and reacting to it . Having this attitude towards success , is a great way to set yourself on a rewarding course for your future . You have the ability right now to accomplish more than you ever you have before , there is no honor for those who never tried , because there is no Education for them since there is nothing learn from . I must state it categorically here that self-employed is an art that involves the release of self commitment and focus in order to attain a higher reward or a higher value ; people that don’t want to make mistakes in life or in their investment , end up being poor . You must be ready to fail in order to be successful , because daring steps are not taken against flat plain , they are taken against a brick wall . Many unemployed still hovering around vacancy pages of our national dailies. Job ? What is the essence of the course read in school or creative/ other knowledge acquired ? You couldn’t go through yourself , ask if the course you read or knowledge acquired , is not for my own good? , Why is it lying idle in hands ? I knew of a boy who acquired a certificate course on EVENT MANAGEMENT , having searched for a job for 4 years ; luckily he 0came across my article like this on one of the National Newspaper , he picked up the idea and made a different with it . He present a hand book on How To Make Your Event Look Attractive And Different . He sold over half a million Copies of the book , use your calculator , if he sell a copy for $10 x 500,000 copies , check out what the earnings look like .

Firstly , he started with offering free consultancy and Event Management services to his friends , his girl friend , took up the task of client building and advertorials , today he owns one of the largest Event Management Empire , in his country . Occasion to Occasion .

Now let me come to the area I have Passion in , Media and Publishing , this is the a Gold mine of its own , if 9discover the secret , you were on your way to make an overwhelming wealth , even millions of dollars . If appeared with a solution to a problem to millions out there . Firstly , you need to came out with your first impression to start from there , you first impression might hit the market . Can’t get it done alone , choose few of your friends who are capable , add to yourself , you can’t create the creative work , there are God-giving talented creative writers , who can develop one for you in a time schedule , purchased with a Letter of Credit agreement . After the completion of the Publishing , the first huge return will came from the launching , still sell your work for more high margin of profit . I must confess , Educational books is on the track now , not minding if it is motivational , Religion , Kitchen or general Education book . Kudos to Online marketing activities .

When it comes to finding ways to earn money, consider a Denver (Colorado, USA) woman that lost her upper management job. She started a simple business picking up dog droppings that led to earnings of over $75,000 a year, working outside, setting her own hours, and could be done using a bicycle as transportation. It is also something a child age 10 and up can do alone, an adult can do, or a whole family can do together. This article describes how.

In this economy, you need to think outside box. Companies are refusing to take applications from the unemployed resulting in many giving up.

Not so long ago, the average American man in his 20s had achieved most of the milestones of adulthood: a high-school diploma, financial independence, marriage and children. Today, most men in their 20s hang out in a novel sort of limbo, a hybrid state of semi-hormonal adolescence and responsible self-reliance. This "pre-adulthood" has much to recommend it, especially for the college-educated. But it’s time to state what has become obvious to legions of frustrated young women: It doesn’t bring out the best in men.

Between his lack of responsibilities and an entertainment media devoted to his every pleasure, today’s young man has no reason to grow up, says author Kay Hymowitz. She discusses her book, "Manning Up: How the Rise of Women Has Turned Men Into Boys."

"We are sick of hooking up with guys," writes the comedian Julie Klausner, author of a touchingly funny 2010 book, "I Don’t Care About Your Band: What I Learned from Indie Rockers, Trust Funders, Pornographers, Felons, Faux-Sensitive Hipsters and Other Guys I’ve Dated." What Ms. Klausner means by "guys" is males who are not boys or men but something in between. "Guys talk about ‘Star Wars’ like it’s not a movie made for people half their age; a guy’s idea of a perfect night is a hang around the PlayStation with his bandmates, or a trip to Vegas with his college friends…. They are more like the kids we babysat than the dads who drove us home." One female reviewer of Ms. Kausner’s book wrote, "I had to stop several times while reading and think: Wait, did I date this same guy?"

Yes, at other points in Western history young people have waited well into their 20s to marry, and yes, office girls and bachelor lawyers have been working and finding amusement in cities for more than a century. But their numbers and their money supply were always relatively small. Today’s pre-adults are a different matter. They are a major demographic event.

What also makes pre-adulthood something new is its radical reversal of the sexual hierarchy. Among pre-adults, women are the first sex. They graduate from college in greater numbers (among Americans ages 25 to 34, 34% of women now have a bachelor’s degree but just 27% of men), and they have higher GPAs. As most professors tell it, they also have more confidence and drive. These strengths carry women through their 20s, when they are more likely than men to be in grad school and making strides in the workplace. In a number of cities, they are even out-earning their brothers and boyfriends.

Still, for these women, one key question won’t go away: Where have the good men gone? Their male peers often come across as aging frat boys, maladroit geeks or grubby slackers—a gender gap neatly crystallized by the director Judd Apatow in his hit 2007 movie "Knocked Up." The story’s hero is 23-year-old Ben Stone (Seth Rogen), who has a drunken fling with Allison Scott (Katherine Heigl) and gets her pregnant. Ben lives in a Los Angeles crash pad with a group of grubby friends who spend their days playing videogames, smoking pot and unsuccessfully planning to launch a porn website. Allison, by contrast, is on her way up as a television reporter and lives in a neatly kept apartment with what appear to be clean sheets and towels. Once she decides to have the baby, she figures out what needs to be done and does it. Ben can only stumble his way toward being a responsible grownup.

So where did these pre-adults come from? You might assume that their appearance is a result of spoiled 24-year-olds trying to prolong the campus drinking and hook-up scene while exploiting the largesse of mom and dad. But the causes run deeper than that. Beginning in the 1980s, the economic advantage of higher education—the "college premium"—began to increase dramatically. Between 1960 and 2000, the percentage of younger adults enrolled in college or graduate school more than doubled. In the "knowledge economy," good jobs go to those with degrees. And degrees take years.

Another factor in the lengthening of the road to adulthood is our increasingly labyrinthine labor market. The past decades’ economic expansion and the digital revolution have transformed the high-end labor market into a fierce competition for the most stimulating, creative and glamorous jobs. Fields that attract ambitious young men and women often require years of moving between school and internships, between internships and jobs, laterally and horizontally between jobs, and between cities in the U.S. and abroad. The knowledge economy gives the educated young an unprecedented opportunity to think about work in personal terms. They are looking not just for jobs but for "careers," work in which they can exercise their talent

In every culture, boys have had to go through a rite of passage to be considered a man. It was like you’re stepping into a new world and new things were expected of you. However, the feminists claimed that this rite of passage into manhood was an example of the oppressive patriarchy. It was teaching men to be the leaders of their families and the protectors of society and therefore, in the warped minds of feminists, it was teaching men to oppress women. Now that this expectation is practically gone, men are extending their adolescence. They’re treating dysfunctional women like their queens who deserve all of their dysfunctional expectations instead of embracing their natural male authority.

In schools, they are taught that traditional masculinity is oppressive and evil. Co-ed classrooms attempt to create the illusion that boys and girls are the same, but what they really do is teach boys like they’re girls. They wonder why so many boys drop out and feel that education is a waste of time. This only goes to show that feminists are so self-centered that they can’t see what they’ve done wrong. The ideal of a genderless society lives on in the shadow of ignorance.

Society has largely become hedonistic. People are obsessed with how much pleasure they can gain in the absence of pain, struggle and responsibility. This goes for both men and women. This also effects the behavior of the modern man.

Not so long ago, the average American man in his 20s had achieved most of the milestones of adulthood: a high-school diploma, financial independence, marriage and children.

They are looking not just for jobs but for "careers," work in which they can exercise their talent

its the new generation and theres more technology and everything. Plus the economy is bad soo most people in their 20s are still living with their parents bc of lack of work. Also kids are doing drugs at younger and younger ages. And doing drugs prevents you from maturing mentally. Thats my theory.

(Points : 1)
Technology can only advance as a result of war and conflict.

Inventions are always a result of collaboration between several people.

Inventions often rely on previous inventions and innovations.

Technology is always theresult of research conducted at universities.

3. How did the space race between the United States and the Soviet Union affect the Cold War?
(Points : 1)
The space race caused tensions to rise between the superpowers.

A. They strengthen logos.
B. They strengthen ethos.
C. They weaken pathos.
D. They weaken logos.
5.
Imagine that you are debating against a proposed rule that would require all students to participate in an after-school program to clean the schoolyard for an hour each day. Your opponent has just argued that full participation in the program will beautify the school and enrich learning opportunities for students. Now, it is your turn to respond.

Which of the following statements would be the most effective response?

A. Students who do not participate will be penalized
B. Although the program may enrich student learning, many students have other, personal commitments, like working to help support their families
C. There are many other opportunities after school which are more enriching than yard work
Directions—Read the following excerpt from the 1960 presidential debate between Nixon and Kennedy. Using your knowledge of fallacies to answer the question.

Excerpt—
MR. VON FREMD [Moderator]: Mr. Vice President, a two-part question concerning the offshore islands in the Formosa Straits. If you were president and the Chinese Communists tomorrow began an invasion of Quemoy and Matsu, would you launch the uh – United States into a war by sending the Seventh Fleet and other military forces to resist this aggression; and secondly, if the uh – regular conventional forces failed to halt such uh – such an invasion, would you authorize the use of nuclear weapons?

MR. NIXON: Mr. Von Fremd, it would be completely irresponsible for a candidate for the presidency, or for a president himself, to indicate the course of action and the weapons he would use in the event of such an attack. I will say this: in the event that such an attack occurred and in the event the attack was a prelude to an attack on Formosa – which would be the indication today because the Chinese Communists say over and over again that their objective is not the offshore islands, that they consider them only steppingstones to taking Formosa – in the event that their attack then were a prelude to an attack on Formosa, there isn't any question but that the United States would then again, as in the case of Berlin, honor our treaty obligations and stand by our ally of Formosa. But to indicate in advance how we would respond, to indicate the nature of this response would be incorrect; it would certainly be inappropriate; it would not be in the best interests of the United States. I will only say this, however, in addition: to do what Senator Kennedy has suggested – to suggest that we will surrender these islands or force our Chinese Nationalist allies to surrender them in advance – is not something that would lead to peace; it is something that would lead, in my opinion, to war. This is the history of dealing with dictators. This is something that Senator Kennedy and all Americans must know. We tried this with Hitler. It didn't work. [...]

What type of fallacy most accurately describes Nixon’s overall response to the moderator’s question?

A. Ad Hominem
B. Straw Man
C. Non Sequitur
D. Hasty Generalizations

Are you asking me to give you all the answers? …. I mean what you have to do is read the paragraph, and answer the question, . The last one is C though, i’ll give you that.

Is this a non-story or is this something we should all be concerned about?

Military experts are seldom asking anymore if Israel will pre-empt a strategic strike upon Iran’s nuclear site(s). Mostly, they now ponder the possibility that a strike is imminent and potentially disastrous for world economies still struggling from the global financial crisis. Such a strike runs the real risk of opening a Pandora’s Box in the Middle East and one of the casualties could be the flow of oil presently coursing steadily through the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran’s apocalyptic minded president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, has publicly threatened the closing of Hormuz in retaliation for an Israeli or American strike upon his country. Additionally, two significant correlating events made the news in May, 2010. First, the Islamic Republic of Iran warned that it would launch terrorist attacks and suicide strikes inside of America in the event of a strike upon Iranian soil. Second, the Iranian Navy conducted a massive war exercise in the Strait of Hormuz, and Persian Gulf called “Judgment Day.” This drill reportedly demonstrated Iran’s sole and sovereign ability to control those strategic bodies of water.

Regarding the possibility of Iran playing the “OIL CARD” against America, on September 15, 2009 The Wall Street Journal published a Bret Stephens article entitled “Obama is pushing Israel toward war.” In the article Stephens suggested that a Middle East War could push the price of oil up to $300 per barrel. Lately, on average that precious black gold has been closing between $70 to $80 per barrel. Stephen’s estimate suggests an oil dependent world could be about to experience a spike at the pump of about four times the present amount. Iran still ranks number two behind Saudi Arabia in the OPEC oil cartel, which is responsible for two-thirds of the world’s oil supply.

Are Americans, Chinese, and Europeans ready for such a steep increase? Such a dramatic and possibly overnight rise in the price of oil would certainly spill over into the economic essentials of their respective societies. Presently, America is the number one consumer of Oil and China ranks number two. Americans could expect to feel pain in the waiting lines at the pump and in their pocket books, as increased transportation costs would certainly be reflected in the price of goods sold over the retail counters across the country.

Many Muslims believe it is a fake battle of words. In actual
fact Iran is aligned with Israel and USA. US could not have
invaded Iraq and Afghanistan without tacit support of Iran.
Iran is patronizing the all shia government of Iraq. USA has
also promised to give oil rich eastern province of Saudi Arabia
to Iran.

So, nothing is going to happen, except for some hard hitting
statements from Israel, US and their cronies.

                                     Muhammad Javed Iqbal

Or stop annoying them about the Spectrum scam etc, in which the Congress involvement / abetment is also highly evident / suspected? For, she would very much wish to tarnish the DMK image, the way the Congress does with BJP! But the scams of DMK beyond Tamilnadu would have been played with the collusion of the Congress men, with knowledge of their power centres only!

Jaya is a very vindictive woman, no less dangerous than Karuna! She had wasted a whole term scanning the works carried out, purchases made, tenders finalised etc during DMK regime! Many dept officials and police officials in particular, who had carried out the orders of the DMK govt against earlier AIADMK ministers were victimised by her!

Or do you think that she may have mellowed after losing to DMK in last elections and still facing court cases launched by them? After all the Congress often quotes BJP corruptions but never chases any of the criminal lapses professionally to book the culprits! The politicos seem satisfied to use allegations to pull down the opponent rather than move the allegations toward proper judicial culmination!

Would Jaya follow the congress example and stop pestering for Raja in the event of a win, so that congress does not feel annoyed?
hello friends, you have all nearly hijacked the subject from Raja centric impact, to the probable coalition formula and its impact! Yes, Senthil, the seat sharing would be big issue since they may not be able to bargain much with Jaya, as with Karuna whose interests are woven into congress at the Centre!

GCS sir wants to say what he wishes to, rather than about what is under discussion. Problems gathering against the DMK seem more and more intensified day by day, more on livelihood issues of people rather than political issues alone, as we guessed so far! I hope you are following the news! Karuna is capable of spoiling his chances under pressure, as much as Jaya! If you recall his behaviours in Indiraji period, you may get an idea and he is more vulnerable now, if you notice his trying to annoy the Centre on simple pretexts also! So it is probable that the Congress would have a rethink.

Raj Krish, great answer! Apt illustrations too. Though different from my perceptions at present,

The Congress Party and the DMK are tied together with what I prefer to call the
"Gordian Knot" which as in ancient times, cannot be untied because the ends of the rope are not visible. Also in ancient times it required an "Alexander the Great" to untie the knot with what was then called the "Alexandrian Solution".Our very own
Gordian Knot also requires an Alexander to undo it.The question therefore would be whether Madam Jaya would "do an Alexander" on the "Tie That Has Bound" two of the greatest scamsters.Given her propensity to turn ally into foe at her whim and fancy,no party leadership in its right senses would ever want or even wish to have any truck with her.In such a scenario, the Knot will remain untied and probably like all knots become that much harder to untie. The Congress and the DMK both have excellent survival instincts which will fuse the knot into an
"untieable" one.Your poser therefore becomes merely a hypothesis. But still,in the unlikely event that the Congress decides to ally itself with the AIADMK,then it is a given that Madam Jaya will go hammer and tongs at the DMK to the extent that she may even attempt to decimate that outfit (which is not possible). The Congress much to its embarrassment would not be able to rein in the Mustang Mare and
would have to watch from the sidelines the havoc that may be caused. It would even be a Holocaust the effects of which will be felt by only the people and not by any politican or political party as they will all be well insulated.
Have a Wonderful day.
